Dave Crutchfield is the Head of Human Resources, Innovative Medicine, leading the talent and culture strategy for the Innovative Medicine sector. Dave serves as a member of Johnson & Johnson’s Human Resource Executive Leadership Team, the Innovative Medicine Group Operating Committee, and the R&D Management Committee.
Dave spent the first two decades of his career in marketing and general management roles, successfully leading and growing end-to-end businesses ranging in size from $10MM to $4B in revenue. In 2019, he joined the Human Resources Executive Committee at J&J, following his passion for leading and developing people and for modernizing capabilities with a focus on digital and data.
From 2019 through 2021, he served as Global Head, People Experience & HR Services, where he led a 1,300-person team with responsibility for HR Shared Services across Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, People Operations, and HR Digital and Data experiences.
In late 2021, Dave was asked to leverage his combined experience in Consumer Health and HR to serve as the global leader for the separation of the J&J Consumer Health business into the creation of a new publicly traded company, Kenvue, enabling Johnson & Johnson to focus as a two-sector company in Innovative Medicine and MedTech.
Upon the successful IPO of Kenvue in May 2023, Dave transitioned back into HR where he most recently served as Head of HR, Technical Operations & Risk. In addition, he has provided leadership support for the corporate services Employee and Labor Relations team.
Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson in 2005, Dave held roles of increasing responsibility at the Campbell Soup Company and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Dave received both a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and an MBA in information technology from Fairfield University.
