There is a tremendous need for effective anticoagulants. We currently have novel oral anticoagulant for patients in the United States. We are committed to exploring the additional ways in which patients can benefit from our established therapies while also exploring new ways to help patients treat and prevent thrombosis.

Thrombosis is the formation of a blot clot, thrombus, inside a blood vessel which leads to the obstruction of blood within the circulatory system. Each year more people die of venous thromboembolism than motor vehicle accidents, breast cancer, and HIV combined. Additionally, atrial fibrillation, which causes stroke, is not only common it is often undertreated.

Our approach to finding solutions for thrombosis build on the expertise we have in the space. We are looking to discover and develop the next generation of anticoagulant that will be able to help make a difference in the lives of patients with thrombosis.
