Miemie leads the Asia Pacific New Business Development (NBD) team in the evaluation of opportunities across all therapeutic areas to support global and regional BD activities, executing local partnerships and leading key alliance management activities. She is a member of the J&J Innovative Medicine Asia Pacific Leadership Team (APLT).
Miemie joined Johnson & Johnson in 2021 and has led NBD activities across a variety of therapeutic areas. Most recently she worked in Hematology and Immunology, playing an instrumental role in adding new innovative therapies to our internal pipeline in B-cell lymphoma and Immuno-dermatology. She also led the development of new capabilities and strategic planning for the team; as well as driving community-building, mentoring and culture efforts across the wider organization.
Prior to J&J, Miemie spent two decades working at the juncture of science, health and innovation, with a track-record of successfully putting capital to work and delivering results. Her experience spans a broad range of industry verticals in both blue-chip advisory capacity, and in-house leadership roles with large multinationals focused on driving growth and development.
Originally born in South Africa, Miemie has lived and worked internationally since 2005, currently residing in Singapore with her family. She holds an MBA from London Business School, UK, and a bachelor’s degree in Medical Sciences from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
