      Communicable diseases

Tuberculosis (TB) causes more deaths in Asia Pacific than anywhere else in the world, and one person dies of viral hepatitis every 30 seconds in the region. India has the third largest HIV epidemic in the world, and intense stigma and discrimination toward those living with HIV in Asia remains a major barrier for effective prevention programs.

Our goal is to change people’s lives and improve public health by fighting infectious diseases worldwide with innovative solutions to treat HIV, tuberculosis and the hepatitis C virus. Our partnerships to fight against infectious diseases include collaborations with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in China and the Grameen Foundation
