      Vice President, Asia Pacific Medical Affairs

      Weng Ho is Vice President, Asia Pacific Medical Affairs. He joined Janssen from Abbvie where he most recently served as the Company’s Head of the Medical Department in Japan as well as Global Transformation Lead responsible for change management and building capabilities for the Global Medical Affairs function. This global role covered responsibility for the Company’s Corporate Headquarters and 60 Country Affiliates in the areas of Customer Focus; Product, Disease and Payer solutions; Talent Management; Knowledge Management; Organizational Branding; and Strategic Medical Affairs Planning, Training and Operations.

      Weng Ho began his pharmaceutical career with Glaxosmithkline in 2000 as Asia-Pacific Head for the metabolic therapeutic area. He subsequently moved to Sanofi-Aventis as the Medical Director for the Asia Pacific region responsible for Medical Affairs. In 2007, Weng Ho joined Abbvie as the Regional Medical Director of the South Asia region before moving into the role of Area Medical Director of the Australia, Asia, Africa and Middle East region in 2008, in which capacity he served until 2013.

      Weng Ho graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore and earned his Master’s in Business Administration with Distinction from the State University of New York. In his new role with APMS, Weng Ho will provide strategic leadership and guidance for Medical Affairs activities (data generation, marketing support, medical education, medical information, training and scientific affairs) aligned to regional medical strategies and global guidance to maximize the value of our pipeline products. In collaboration with regional functional leaders, Weng Ho will also provide guidance on epidemiology, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance and medical compliance activities in the Asia Pacific region. He will optimize synergy and integration among Local Operating Companies within the region and on a global basis and will also serve as a member of various leadership teams, including the APMS Senior Leadership Team and the Global Medical Affairs Council.
