We are in the process of updating our charitable contributions program, including our grant application. During this period, we have implemented a blackout period for charitable contribution request submissions which will go through February 3, 2022. Please revisit our site in February to access updated information on our contributions program and the link to our contributions application. Supporting Patients and Our Local Communities Through Charitable Giving

Through our charitable giving and employee volunteerism, we’re proud to positively impact the patients we serve and the places where we live and work.

Our charitable contributions support therapeutic area initiatives as well as local community programs. Applications are evaluated competitively with emphasis given to innovative programs with measurable outcomes that address disparities or unmet needs.

Please click here to read about how we define outcomes.

All contribution requests are reviewed for compliance with our policies and relevant legal and industry requirements, including guidelines set forth by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).

NOTE: If you are looking for support for educational programs directed toward healthcare professionals please see the Medical Education section of this website.

      General Guidelines

      • Only nonprofit organizations classified by the IRS as 501 (c)(3) are eligible to apply for a charitable contribution.
      • Applications are available online. Faxed, e-mailed and postal-mailed letters or applications will not be considered.
      • For event-specific funding, applications must be submitted at least sixty (60) days prior to the event.
      • Preference for support will be given to programs and services over event-based requests.
      • Review of each request is based on merit, relevance to our guidelines and available resources. Initiatives assisting the underserved or disparities are of particular interest to our organization.
      • Funding decisions will reflect:
        • Therapeutic Area: Prevalence of Therapeutic Area; population served, program design, organizational capacity and anticipated outcomes
        • Local Community Giving: Program design, community impact, and organizational capacity and anticipated outcomes
      • Verbal commitments for charitable contributions are not provided or acknowledged by our Charitable Contributions Committee.

      Additional Therapeutic Area Giving Guidelines

      • For requests in support of dinners or galas, contact your Local Janssen Representative.
